I don't know very much about Ben Sasse as a politician. From what I have seen, I wouldn't vote for him. I've also heard from people more familiar with him who suggest that he's not necessarily the same person he's branded to be.
Nonetheless, I found the material in the book to make sense, and it seemed to make some pretty good points about the importance of community and the damage caused by some of our new modern exploitations.
It did feel a little disingenuous when he was complaining about the media (Them) after so much discussion about harmful it is to blame others, but I think it came back around and redeemed itself.
I'm sure I don't agree with everything in the book, but I found it thoughtful and a good start to understanding some different viewpoints at least.
